“Je suis excité.”
Blaise smirks into his teacup. Hermione Granger has taken up French studies in preparation for a winter trip to Paris and has learned to be thorough and accurate in her pronunciation. It’s so perfect, in fact, that Draco is still beside her, his usual pale face an amusing shade of pink.
He can’t help but give his friend a little nudge in the right direction. After all, why bother getting friendly with the Gryffindor Princess if one is going to get shy at a little miscommunication?
“Well, Draco? You going to help her or not?”
Pansy snorts beside him, holding the magazine she’s been reading in front of her face. Behind it, she quietly laughs with maniacal glee at their friend’s expense.
Hermione looks up at them. “Help me with what?”
Ignoring her, he continues with a grin, “How excited are you really, Granger?”
“Je suis très excitée!” she exclaims, turning to the blond beside her. “Am I saying it right?”
“You’re not wrong…”
“And how about you, Draco? Are you très excité?” It looks like he has his own death to look forward to, but Draco’s discomfort is worth it.
Note: Je suis excité has double meanings which are “I’m excited.” or “I’m horny.”
